The Xterra World Tour Starts in the Philippines

Phills podium

Ladies podium – congrats girls

Lizzie Orchard – 2.52.14 Jacqui Slack – 2.54.30 Mieko Carey – 3.07.35 Full results –     Last weekend I raced Xterra Philippines, this was the 5th year in a row I’ve competed this race and about the 11th time Ben and I have competed in the Philippines, obviously you can see how much we love this place. We have a fantastic relationship with Sunrise Events and when we got the invite to go over and race again its was a no brainer. The way every single athlete gets treated is remarkable its all about the experience and Sunrise Events hit the mark every time.

First out of the water – Xterra Wetsuits

To be race fit on the 7th February is questionable after all I want to peak in April and November so to be in top form in early Feb is just not going to happen, so I have to suck it up and do what I can do off very limited training. Anyways no excuses I had a ball, raced my little heart and finished a solid second to a very classy Kiwi Lizzie Orchid.

Nothing like a face plant to get the game face on #yougottalaugh

It was a short trip the aim was to go there race my best, support the race and get home ASAP with as little distraction to my training as possible. I’m actually love training ATM and super excited to get stuck and see what April, May and June will hold for my race performances.
